Who has believed the report of the Lord? Isaiah 53:1

Hebrews 13:8 declares this glorious statement, “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever!” Men, their religion and their doctrines change like the wind, but Jesus never changes. This includes His will and desire to heal. Jesus said that He came to do the Fathers will. Everything that Jesus did in the gospels including healing the sick was an expression of the Fathers will.

Jesus performed so many signs and wonders of healing during His ministry on earth that John said in John 21:25 that if books had been written about all that Jesus did, the world itself could not contain them. That means that the 37 accounts of healing and miracles that we have in the gospels are only a fraction of the countless miracles Jesus performed.

Jesus continued His healing and miracle working ministry in the book of Acts. As the disciples carried the good news gospel of Jesus to the world, signs and wonders followed them just as Jesus said they would in Mark 16:17. The Fathers will and the healing ministry of Jesus continued through the church. The Old Testament spoke much about healing and the authors of the New Testament wrote about the subject of healing as well.

The theology of Jesus and the authors of the New Testament on the subject of healing is rarely preached from pulpits today. Most do not practice the laying on of hands for the sick or the anointing with oil for those that are sick, even though both are obviously a part of New Testament theology! Much of what is talked about on the subject of healing from pulpits today, creates more doubt than it does faith.

Does something sound off to you?

Why did Jesus set such an example of compassionate healing, breaking the chains of disease off of humanity and the church avoids the subject of healing almost like the plague? The book of Acts is the only example we have in the bible about what the church is supposed to be and it sets the example of a church healing the sick. So why does the church today, not follow this example?

Here's why! Man made religion has stolen faith for healing right out of the church, starting at the pulpit! Don't get me wrong! I am not against churches, preachers or Christians. I am for them. But, I am very much opposed to the false doctrines of men that Jesus Himself said “make the word of God of no affect!”

In the great redemptive chapter of Isaiah 53, the author describes in vivid detail how Jesus suffered and the great salvation He provided for the whole world through His suffering. It starts out with these alarming words, “who has believed our report, and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?”

Precious few have understood what God's mighty arm accomplished at Calvary and precious few have believed the full report of the Lord! The faith of the church is deeply rooted in forgiveness through redemption because that truth has been preached. However, the church has little or no faith for healing through redemption because this truth has not been understood and preached. This should raise an alarm since both are proclaimed in Isaiah 53.

I thank God for those camps that proclaim the truth about healing but the time has come for all of Gods church to get back to the bible and believe the full report of the Lord! It is time we believe, preach and practice “the whole counsel of God”, and that includes the subject of healing!

As I was driving to church one Sunday evening the Lord spoke to me. He very strongly impressed upon me that I needed to focus on preaching the message of faith and healing. Gods plan is that the faith which has been lost to the “traditions of men” might be restored to the church through the preaching of His word.

One day while studying the subject of healing a vision for a “Healing School” was birthed within me. These Sunday night “Healing School” classes are a product of the vision and passion God has given me to preach the truth about healing.

My prayer is that the preaching of Gods word would create faith in His people, that signs and wonders would follow and that just like healing glorified God in the gospels, that He would once again receive glory in this hour through the ministry of healing!
